About Osinachi
My name is Osinachi, and I bring an uncommon combination to every tutoring session — the scientific depth of a researcher and the instructional instincts of a practicing classroom teacher.
I hold a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology and Biostatistics and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, and I am currently completing my teaching credential while working in a high school Chemistry classroom. Before transitioning into education, I spent five years as a public health data scientist with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, where I led epidemiological analysis, managed large-scale health datasets, and designed programs that reached millions of residents. That experience gave me something most tutors don't have — a genuine understanding of how STEM knowledge is applied in professional, real-world contexts.
I have worked with students across middle school, high school, and college levels in chemistry, biology, statistics, mathematics, and public health sciences. I know where students typically struggle, how misconceptions form, and — most importantly — how to correct them efficiently so that progress is real and lasting rather than surface-level.
My sessions are structured, purposeful, and tailored to each student's specific needs. Whether you are preparing for an AP exam, working through a difficult college science course, or simply trying to build a stronger foundation, you will leave each session with greater clarity and a concrete understanding of where you stand.
I take punctuality, preparation, and communication seriously, and I hold my students to the same standard — because that mutual accountability is what produces results.
If you are looking for a tutor who will challenge you, support you, and help you genuinely understand the material, I would be glad to work with you.

Science makes sense when you can see why it matters — not just memorize how it works. My approach starts there.
I'm a Chemistry teacher currently working in a high school classroom, with a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology and Biostatistics and a Bachelor's in Biochemistry. I've spent years making complex STEM concepts accessible — first as a public health data scientist, and now daily in the classroom designing lessons and identifying exactly where student understanding breaks down.
My Teaching Method:
Every student gets a diagnostic first — not a formal test, but a conversation. I find the specific gap between where you are and where you need to be, then build a personalized roadmap. I use a three-part approach every session: clarify the foundational concept, apply it through worked examples, then transfer it through problems the student solves independently while I observe their reasoning. That last step is where real learning happens.
What Sets Me Apart:
Most tutors either know the subject or know how to teach. I've built both sides professionally. My public health background lets me connect chemistry, biology, and statistics to real applications — disease transmission, drug mechanisms, vaccine science — making abstract concepts suddenly relevant. As a working classroom teacher, I also know exactly what AP and honors teachers look for, how rubrics are applied, and where students most commonly lose points.
Who I Work With:
Middle school through college level, specializing in:
-Chemistry: General, honors, AP, college intro, organic fundamentals, stoichiometry, thermodynamics, lab report writing
-Biology & Life Sciences: AP Biology, anatomy and physiology, genetics, microbiology, biochemistry
-Math & Statistics: Algebra through pre-calculus, AP Statistics, introductory college and biostatistics
-Public Health & Science Writing: Epidemiology, research methods, scientific writing for undergraduate health science students
I work especially well with students who feel behind and need to rebuild confidence, those in AP or accelerated courses who want to go deeper, and undergraduates in pre-med, nursing, or health sciences navigating rigorous science coursework for the first time.
If you're motivated and ready to actually understand the material — we'll work well together.
