About Jithya

My name is Jithya, and I am a high school student currently enrolled in AP Calculus BC with a strong academic foundation in advanced mathematics. I am passionate about helping students improve their understanding of math in a clear, structured, and supportive way.

I take a patient and step-by-step approach to tutoring, making sure each student fully understands the concept before moving forward. I focus on breaking down difficult topics into simple ideas and guiding students through problem-solving strategies that build both accuracy and confidence.

I adapt my teaching style to match each student’s needs and learning pace. Whether a student is struggling with foundational concepts or looking to improve performance in advanced topics, I aim to create a comfortable learning environment where questions are encouraged and mistakes are used as learning opportunities.

My goal is to help students not only improve their grades, but also develop long-term confidence in math and independent problem-solving skills.

About the lesson

I am Jithya, a high school student currently enrolled in AP Calculus BC with a strong academic background in advanced mathematics. I offer online math tutoring for students in grades 6–12, including Algebra, Geometry, Precalculus, and Calculus.

My teaching approach focuses on breaking down complex problems into simple, step-by-step explanations. I prioritize helping students understand the reasoning behind each concept rather than memorizing formulas. I adapt my teaching style to each student’s pace, ensuring they feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence over time.

A typical lesson begins with identifying the student’s current understanding of the topic, followed by guided explanations of key concepts. I then walk through example problems step-by-step and allow the student to attempt similar problems with support. At the end of each session, I review mistakes and reinforce important ideas to ensure understanding.

What sets me apart as a tutor is that I am currently learning advanced mathematics myself, which allows me to understand common student difficulties from a recent learner’s perspective. This helps me explain topics in a relatable and simple way that students can easily follow.

These lessons are intended for middle school and high school students (grades 6–12) who need help strengthening their math skills, improving grades, or building confidence in problem-solving.
