About Monica
Currently I teach high school Biology. The course we offer at our school is part of the 3 course model, so all freshman take Biology. But, it is integrated with Earth Science, so we have plenty of Earth Science standards embed within the curriculum.
I started out teaching middle school science at a small private school. I taught all levels of middle school science and am well versed in the standards that apply to grades 6-8.
As a full-time teacher, I will treat you as one of my own students, with the utmost respect and professionalism. I maintain clear lines of communication by responding to emails in a timely fashion (usually within a couple of hours).

I create engaging and comprehensive lessons. I employ a variety of strategies including, but not limited to, readings, virtual labs, lectures, simulations, and videos to convey content. I will also work with you to create effective study habits and strategies to master the material.
If something is particularly challenging, I will work with you to find the best strategies to help you pass your next test or assessment. I can work with you to finesse your projects or other assignments to exceed expectations.
I am available to teach all middle school science as well high school Biology or Earth Science. With over 10 years experience, I have developed multiple methods of instruction which can be adapted for all learners.
