About Kala
My role is impactful because I am effective at creating a resonant learning environment. I shape the future by helping learners understand that education is a lifelong process. I intentionally engineer engagement by structuring interactive sessions that connect math to real life. I focus on deeper understanding, constantly asking learners 'why' behind their solutions. I demonstrate flexibility by adjusting the pace to meet student needs and reteaching concepts in diverse ways. These methods include having students take short notes while listening to a detailed song about a math concept, such
as using a hand-movement song to teach geometry shapes and lines. Ultimately, I guide students to take ownership of their learning.
My thinking has evolved, which deepens my desire for continuous learning and education. I hope my enjoyment of learning is genuinely demonstrated in my tutoring sessions. I want to lead by example, demonstrating a love for education without judgment.

My lessons are for elementary, middle, and high school students who need a simplified approach to solving challenging problems. I design my lesson plans for diverse learning styles, including visual, auditory, kinesthetic (hands-on), reading/writing, social, solitary, and logical learners. In addition, I increase retention of all concepts by implementing repetitive strategies into my curriculum.
