About Jessica
Hi, my name is Jess. I am currently a third-year university student completing a Bachelor of Laws / Bachelor of Psychological Science.
When I am not studying for my degree, you can find me working as a paralegal/bartender, baking a sweet treat in the kitchen, on the netball court or binge watching a reality tv show!
Qualifications:
- Valid WWCC
- Year 4 District spelling bee champion.
- Obtained my Higher School Certificate (HSC).
- Band 6's in Legal studies and Advanced English.
- Was in the Advanced classes from year 7-10 and maintained a A/B Grade scale.
- Currently completing an Undergraduate Bachelor of Law/Psychological Science degree.
With a strong academic background and a genuine passion for education, I aim to create a supportive and structured learning environment where students feel confident, motivated, and well-prepared.
My dual degree equips me with a deep understanding of both analytical thinking and human behavior — which I use to adapt my teaching style to suit each student’s unique needs. I take a clear, step-by-step approach to explaining content, focusing on building core skills, exam techniques, and independent thinking. My teaching style is student-focused, meaning I tailor each lesson to suit the individual needs, learning pace, and goals of the student. I break down complex concepts into manageable parts, use real-life examples to make content more relatable, and incorporate active learning methods such as practice questions, discussion, and feedback.
In English, I focus on essay structure, textual analysis, and exam techniques, while in Legal Studies I emphasize understanding legal principles, applying case law, and structuring responses effectively.
Typical lessons run for 60 minutes, but I am flexible and can adjust the length based on student needs and concentration levels.
For Legal Studies: My lessons are ideal for high school students (Years 9–12), Whether you're aiming to improve your grades, prepare for exams, or gain a deeper understanding of the subjects, I can help you reach your goals with supportive and engaging lessons.
For English: My Lessons are ideal for both Primary School students (who need help with spelling, writing, grammar) and for High School students (In preparation for exams, essay writing or gaining a deeper understanding of the subject).
