About Amy
Hi! My name is Amy, and I'm a third year Bachelor of science student at Monash University. I'm majoring in Physiology and Anatomy & Human Development - currently with a high distinction weighted average mark (WAM). Prior to university, I did my VCE Baccalaureate at a highschool in Geelong!
In my spare time I like going to the gym, enjoy soaking up the sun when the weather is nice, and see friends! I'm also interested in playing piano (AMEB grade 5).
I have received multiple awards in university for high achievement in Neuroscience Physiology, Endocrine Physiology, and Anatomy, as well as the opportunity to intern at the Baker Institute for Heart Failure research in South Yarra!

My approach to tutoring is centred around clarity, engagement, and personalised learning. I believe that biology, while often seen as a challenging subject filled with complex concepts and definitions to memorise, can be an exciting and accessible subject when approached the right way. With my passion for biology and a bubbly attitude, I aim to help students gain confidence and joy in their learning. I focus on fostering a deeper understanding of concepts, not just memorisation, so that students can apply what they’ve learned in meaningful ways.
Whether revising classwork, learning new material, or tackling practice questions, I tailor each lesson to meet the student's individual goals. I incorporate diagrams, interactive discussions, and real-world examples to make complex topics easier to grasp. I also offer quick feedback on practice tests and exams, along with study tips to help students succeed. My lessons are designed to be flexible, engaging, and full of enthusiasm for the subject, ensuring that students leave each session feeling more confident and excited about biology.
Lessons are designed for all high-school students studying ATAR, as well as first and second year undergraduate students at Monash (studying Science / Biomedical Science)
