About Khant Mon
I am a current Diploma in Banking and Finance student at Singapore Polytechnic. I achieved 91% in Economics and 90% in Accounting in the Cambridge O Level (Oct/ Nov 2024).
Having completed these examinations recently, I have a strong understanding of the current syllabus, exam requirements and common problems faced by students. My experience would allow me to provide practical guidance on subject content and exam techniques.
In addition to my academic achievements, I have experience helping 2 of my classmates improve their understanding of various Economics topics such as Elasticity of Demand & Supply, Macroeconomics Policies, 5 macroeconomics objectives and so on. This experience strengthened my ability to explain complex topics in a simple and logical way.
I believe that effective teaching requires clear communication, patience and confidence. I focus on helping my students build their solid understanding of topics and then applying them by practicing exam practice questions. My lessons are structured and tailored for each student's needs.
My goal is to not only help students get better results in exams but also to build their confidence in the subject. I am committed to creating a positive learning environment where students find it easy to ask questions and grow by making mistakes and learning from them.

I specialize in tutoring Cambridge and Edexcel IGCSE O level Economics and Accounting with a focus on helping students improve through clear explanations and structured practice.
My teaching approach is a mix of friendly explaining concepts and exam-focused training. I will break down complex topics into simple and logical steps to explain the underlying concepts clearly to students instead of having to memorize them blindly. After building the foundation knowledge, I shift my focus to exam technique training- how to interpret questions, structure the answers and apply the marking scheme.
My typical lessons will include- explaining the concept step by step using simple language>guided practice with past year questions> breaking down marking scheme to understand how the answers are graded for each question> targeted feedback to fix weak areas in understanding the concept and exam practice.
Each lesson lasts around 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on the needs of the student and upcoming exams. The closer to the exams, the more intense and more past paper oriented the lessons become.
I scored 91% in Economics and 90% in Accounting in the Cambridge IGCSE O Level (Oct/Nov 2024), and I have also informally tutored my classmates in Economics and Accounting, helping them improve their understanding of the topics. I am now pursuing a Diploma in Banking & Finance at Singapore Polytechnic.
My lessons are best suited for Cambridge/ Edexcel IGCSE/ O Level students who want to improve exam results through structured guidance rather than memorizing everything.
My teaching style is friendly and approachable but still disciplined, structured and focused on measurable improvements in exam results
