About Ellie
I’m an A level Biology, Chemistry, Maths and English student. I have 9 GCSE’s, gaining 7’s consistently throughout my results (including in each of the 3 sciences). I’m eager to teach and I find I can explain topics in many different ways so that everyone understands, since I learn best by teaching myself.

I first ask the student to write their strengths and weaknesses within the subject, we will then prioritise and target the subunits they struggle with first. I understand Biology can be a lot of content so I teach by simplifying the topics into: key points, diagrams, acronyms. I find teaching this way helps limit the amount of unnecessary ramble they include in biology lessons. I help target the best revision methods for them by experimenting with different ones. But most importantly I think it’s crucial to comfort and help the student understand they ARE capable. You are capable!! Your interests and love for the subject should not be diminished by struggling with one topic or underachieving in your predicted grades. Sometimes you just need someone to listen to your struggles and explain it a different way. Turning struggles to strengths!
