About Emily
Unfortunately, in many essay exams it isn't about what you say but how you say it. In many essay subjects, presenting a clear and concise argument is more important than remembering all the information that needs to go in it.
If you child is excellent in the sciences but struggles in the essay subjects, then you've come to the right tutor! Or perhaps your child is consistently able to verbally formulate an argument but struggles when putting pen to paper, I can definitely help.
Education:
I have a degree in History and I am currently doing my MA at King's College London in World History but I have typically received high marks in all essay subjects throughout my academic career. While at university, without needing to understand the content, I helped a number of students from many different subject backgrounds to build more effective, punchy essays.
Teaching Experience:
I have volunteered with a number of charities that teach English both abroad and in the U.K. This has made me very aware of common mistakes that people use in the English language.
