Hello! My name is Dakota and it is my pleasure to get to know you!
A few things about me:
- I love traveling, the sun, the beach, and being outdoors!!
- I love trying new foods
- I used to find reading boring, but now it's one of my favourite things to do!
- I love AFL, my football team is Collingwood! Go the pies!
- I have ADHD, which is what inspires me to find new and creative ways to help children focus and learn!
I promise to listen to and honor you and your beliefs, goals, and interests.

My approach to teaching is first building a relationship with my students, as learning their interests is essential in building confident learners.
A previous student of mine had a fascination with flags, so I created puzzles using flags for my student to use as not only a cognitive strengthening activity utilising problem-solving skills but the pieces were numbered which allowed him to become more familiar with numbers and assisted him in learning to count to 20 and count backward from 10.
If children have an interest and investment in their learning, they take so much more out of their lessons.
I have worked with children aged 4-12 both academically and socially as well as on life goals and expectations.
I am a fully qualified Integration Aide and Education Support Officer, with a history as an Early Childhood Educator and a future as a Primary School Teacher.
Each lesson will be planned and executed specifically for the student and their needs. I can support children's literacy, numeracy, or social development and work to build upon your child's current skillset!
Lessons can go for any amount of time that suits you and your child! Most lessons go for 30 minutes to an hour.
I am flexible and happy to accommodate families in any way that I can!
