About Muhammad Ahmad

Hi, I’m Muhammad. I’m a medical student at Imperial College London, where I also completed an intercalated BSc in Cardiovascular Science. Science has always fascinated me, but what I enjoy even more is helping others understand it in a way that feels clear and manageable. I know from experience that Biology can sometimes seem overwhelming, especially when exams are approaching. My approach is simple: break topics down, explain them in plain language, and use practice questions to build both understanding and confidence. I don’t just want students to memorise facts — I want them to actually enjoy learning and feel proud of their progress. I’ve worked with students of different levels and backgrounds, and I always adapt my style to suit the individual. Some need more structure, others prefer open discussion — either way, I’m patient and make sure lessons are engaging and useful. Outside of my studies, I enjoy travelling and exploring different cultures, which has taught me how important it is to adapt and connect with people from all walks of life — something I bring into my teaching as well.

About the lesson

My lessons are tailored to the individual needs of each student. At the start, I like to understand what you find most challenging and what your goals are — whether it’s improving exam technique, boosting confidence in a tricky topic, or preparing for higher studies. I explain concepts clearly, often using diagrams, examples, and past paper questions to make sure ideas are fully understood and remembered. I encourage students to ask questions at any point, and I’m happy to go over things as many times as needed until it clicks. For exam preparation, I focus on practising with real exam questions, teaching how to structure answers, and highlighting what examiners are looking for. Lessons are usually one hour, delivered online using Zoom or Teams, with screen sharing and interactive resources. I also provide homework or revision tasks if requested, to help consolidate what we cover. My aim is always to create a relaxed but productive environment where students feel supported and motivated to do their best.
