About Jessica
I received my Bachelor's at Villanova University in Political Science, with minors in Spanish, Business, and Marketing. I have my Master's of Science in Teaching from Pace University where I was dual certified in English and Special Education. I have been teaching English and Special Education for three years, and tutoring for nearly ten years. I am skilled at working with students who lack academic confidence, and helping students who are multiple grade levels below goal catch up with their peers.

I believe students need to be comfortable with their teacher in order to learn. My teaching style is casual and transparent, and very question led. I am certified in teaching grades 7-12, and have experience working with students with various learning disabilities.
There is no typical session with me, as sessions are focused on individual student needs. I like to receive student work before a session, so that we can hit the ground running with a game plan. I do expect that students will do work on their own between sessions with me, as students will not grow if they do not put their newfound skills to the test.
