About Olivia

Hi everyone, One thing I’d like you to know about me is that I wasn’t always a great artist. I struggled, I stumbled, and there were many times when I even forgot my favorite thing in the world—art itself. But no matter how many times I drifted away, art always found its way back to me. I’m a young adult who spent seven years serving in the military, and through all that time, one constant remained: the love of picking up a pencil. That love has stayed with me, and I don’t plan on letting it go. My hope is that my obsession with creating will be of use to you—that through this class, you’ll discover for yourself the joy, the challenge, and the deep satisfaction that comes with being an artist. I’m excited to share this journey with you, and I can’t wait to see what we’ll create together.

About the lesson

As your tutor, I will be showing you my styles and techniques of fine art and/or digital art while also mixing in the basics of fine art knowledge. One way to describe my way of teaching is driving my students towards their potential while being their guide. I believe that setting a positive, encouraging environment full of belief in my students is the perfect technique for my students to bloom. The first lesson will be to get a feel of your level of knowledge on the subject. Then, we will practice basic arts as well as create fun projects every lesson. Every project will be a new step towards building up your skills as a fine arts artist. One thing that sets me apart from most tutors is the need for someone to believe. To believe that my student can be great and that they don't need to be broken down and built back up again because they already possess the tools of a great artist. They just don't know how to use them yet.
