I like to teach by giving out examples and allow students to teach back to me as a demonstration of their understanding. I would have pre-homework, so they know what to expect to learn in the lesson. Go through the lesson, have practice questions during the class, answer students' questions, help out with schoolwork. At the end have homework for the next lesson. I am very patient. I teach patients in my hospital often when they are discharged home. I always make sure they understand my teaching before I let them go.
