About Genevieve

Hello, I am recent first class graduate for Zoology with Entomology.
I completed my degree with a passion for biology and wanting to share this love with others. My aim is to go into teaching/lecturing or science communication in the future.

I am aware how stressful exams can be and want to help students prepare and feel less anxious for when they enter the exam hall. I have dyselxia and over time have discovered great ways to revise when neurodivergent.

My previous tutor work has consisted as leading study groups and one on one revision, with a range of ages, when I was a prefect at my secondary school.

About the lesson

I aim to get the student confident with their knowledge of GCSE or A-Level biology and show them how the base knowledge can help answer practice exam questions.
This includes good examination technique and the use of keywords, through diagrams/flashcards/mindmaps depending on their learning style.

My typical lesson length is around an hour to allow for learning and time to complete so past paper questions.
I have previously worked as a volunteer tutor during my time in sixthform and university, where I would help the younger years with exam preparation and revision.
