About Marissa
At times, learning can be tough and frustrating. It through these challenges that we, students, can accomplish great things. I'm currently a freshman in college studying Integrative Neuroscience on the pre-PA track. Not only do I love STEM, but I also am passionate about helping others. In high school, I took 10 AP classes, ranging from AP Chemistry to AP Statistics. Throughout this time, I was an Algebra I & II tutor who helped average C student's achieve grades in the high B/low A category! But with all these hard classes, I found tutoring to be a great resource to me in times of need. I'd love to be that resource for other students.

As a tutor I understand that some problems presented to students can be very confusing. I plan to go step-by-step through any questions and explain them in the most thorough way possible. As the lesson goes on, I try to come up with easy and fun tricks to help students memorize key factors about the subject so that when they approach a problem on their own, they have something to refer to. I keep most of my notes from my previous AP classes that I took in high school, so that I am more up to date about what students are currently learning. As a fellow student, I believe that it is best that all students are granted opportunities help better and further their education in the best way possible and I'd love to help assist them in their journey.
