About Alicia

I am fluent in four languages, English being my dominant language for communication in everyday life. I believe that language can open doors to many opportunities.

I completed my tertiary education and one class that stood out for me was critical thinking and discourse. One cannot be informed and participate in society, when they cannot describe their lived experiences due to language barriers.

About the lesson

I believe that every individual has unique learning styles and needs, so I tailor my methodology accordingly to ensure effective and enjoyable lessons.

I am proficient in English and able to teach in that language. I can assist students at various proficiency levels, including beginners, intermediate learners, and advanced speakers. Whether someone needs help with basic language and comprehension or wishes to delve deep into poetry and the classics, I am there with you, line by line.

In a typical lesson with me, students can expect a well-structured and interactive session. I incorporate a variety of resources, such as books, online materials, videos, and audio clips, to create a dynamic learning environment. Depending on the student's goals and interests, the lessons may include activities such as script analysis (scenes), role-plays and writing tasks.

I also provide regular feedback and opportunities for students to ask questions and seek clarification.

Alicia is always clear and thorough when it comes to explaining any new concept to students. Having worked with her, I can say with utmost certainty that she is very professional and patient whilst still paying individual attention to her students. She also cares for their well-being outside of their academics.
