About Barbara

Originating from Greece, Barbara’s dance journey began with a foundation in ballet and contemporary styles since the age of 6. She developed a deep passion for dancing, receiving her professional teaching certificate in American Latin and Ballroom dances at 18.

She has competed and been awarded in solo and team competitions organised by the World Artistic Dance Federation (WADF) in Greece and Bulgaria. Her dance repertoire spans various styles, from Rumba, Chachacha, Mambo and Samba to European and Argentinian tango, foxtrot, waltz, pasodoble, jive, bachata and Salsa.

Since her move to the UK, Barbara has expanded her dance skills with advanced training in heels, commercial and street dances including hip hop and litefeet. She has been part of the University of Bristol Salsa Competition team, securing wins against other universities. Barbara has also been a featured dancer and model for FUZE UK for 3 years. She has shared the stage, choreographing and performing for renowned UK artists at festivals like Love Saves the Day and Dot2Dot.

She has attended multiple workshops by inspiring dancers in Bristol, Swindon and London and intends to bring her knowledge to her classes.

In Barbara’s classes, you’ll not only learn dance technique but also, you will learn to express your feelings and emotions through dance. She specialises in teaching heels, incorporating intricate Cuban movements, commercial and contemporary movement. Her choreographies are designed to boost your confidence, encourage self-expression and discover your body movement.

Level: All levels

Structure: 1h or 1.5h class including warm up-technique and combos.

Consistency is the key to success. I train passionate individuals who want to improve their technique and discover their movement and emotions through music. We will work on foundations, stretches, combos and choreographies tailored to your needs.

I do privates and small groups of up to 5 people. Rates change depending on the number of people and the location. Currently, I am looking for studios to hire in the area of Isle of Dogs and Canary Wharf.

With over 16 years of dancing and 4 years of teaching and performing, I have expertise in boosting your confidence, encouraging self-expression and discovering your body movement. I possess a MSc Degree in Psychology and Neuroscience incorporating my knowledge of the human body in my teaching techniques.

I am currently looking at my options to hire different dance studios.
This means that the hourly rate for privates would be 25£ p/h + studio hire.
For small groups, the studio hire will be split among the number of the students.

Price packages for small groups:

- 3 people: 20£ p/h pp
- 4 people: 18£ p/h pp
- 5 people: 15£ p/h pp

+ studio hire divided among the students. (Price tbc)
