About Maria
Achieving my high academic goals as a child was not an easy task. I was always embarrassed to be tutored, it felt like I wasn't smart enough, but my mother was adamant about providing me with the extra support I needed to reach my goals. Once I began being tutored, I quickly understood its benefit. I know firsthand how far a little extra guidance can take a student, and I feel the desire to help others reach their fullest potential. I enjoy helping students that want to learn, to learn. Tutoring allows me to keep my mind sharp and my memory intact, as in university, basic knowledge is always the foundation of extended learning. Being a tutor helps me form connections in the community, and I get to engage with bright kids which is always a joy to have.
