About Idris
I am a fourth-year human biology student specializing in Health and Disease, and majoring in Genome Biology. With aspirations of pursuing a research career, I bring hands-on experience in clinical, wet lab, and dry lab research. My most recent project involved studying the PTCHD1 protein, newly linked to Autism and ADHD. Currently, I am honing my skills in Python and R, aiming to expand my expertise in computational biology.
As a tutor, I have worked with students from middle school to university levels, helping them achieve various academic goals. From preparing for nursing school applications to competing in biology contests, including the National Biology Competition at the University of Toronto, I am committed to supporting students in reaching their full potential.
