Hi, I’m Roshan! I’m a health science student who loves making math fun and easy to understand. I tutor students from Kindergarten through Grade 10, using creative examples, interactive problem-solving, and step-by-step explanations to help each student succeed. I am Roshan, a dedicated math and science tutor passionate about helping students from elementary school through high school build confidence and mastery in mathematics and sciences. My approach focuses on understanding each student’s unique learning style and tailoring lessons to make concepts clear, engaging, and memorable.
I combine step-by-step explanations, real-life examples, and interactive problem-solving to ensure students truly grasp concepts rather than just memorize formulas. I encourage questions, provide visual aids where helpful, and break complex topics into smaller, manageable steps. Regular practice with feedback is central to my method, helping students strengthen both skills and confidence.
My plan consists of a quick review of previous material and mental math exercises. This is then followed by new concept introduction, clearly explaining with examples and discussion. Then comes guided practice where we'll work together on problems while addressing misunderstandings immediately. I'll then allot a few minutes for individual practice where students solve problems on their own to reinforce learning.
What Sets Me Apart:
I focus on building confidence alongside competence, creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment. I make math fun and approachable, showing students how it connects to real-life situations. My goal is for students not only to improve their grades but also to develop a genuine understanding and appreciation for math.
My lessons are ideal for students from Kindergarten through Grade 10, including those who need help catching up, want to get ahead, or are preparing for exams. I adapt my teaching to each student’s level, learning pace, and specific challenges, ensuring that everyone can succeed.
