As a recent 2023 graduate with continuous, professional experience in the education space (working as both a Teacher Aide and Academic Coordinator for the last two years), I am fully coherent with all current curriculum requirements and NCEA standards. My sessions are completely student-focused!
Meaning we ditch boring grammar drills and instead focus on what you have going on right now: an upcoming assessment, internal, or external exam.
My teaching methodology involves a quick needs assessment, strategic intervention to clarify complex NCEA standards, and active goal-setting. You won't just learn what to study; you'll gain the skills and confidence to execute your plan and become a better independent learner. Sessions typically last between 40 and 60 minutes, tailored to the student's needs.
Experience and Qualifications
I specialize in tutoring students aged 14–18 years who are currently navigating the New Zealand Curriculum (NCEA). I've gained practical insight into student challenges and success strategies through two years as both a Teacher Aide at the prestigious private education school St Peter's Cambridge here I also took on the role of Enhanced Learning Coordinator which further lead me to develop vital skills to support students with varying needs.
Furthermore, I have been an active remote tutor for two years, continuing this work since graduating high school with strong academic results.
