About Francis
Maths teacher with 9 years experience of teaching across a range of high schools and middle schools, most recently developing the teaching and learning across maths departments in two schools.
I specialise in GCSE preparation (foundation and higher tier), but have also supported KS2 & KS3 students to tackle misconceptions and rebuild confidence around numbers and problem solving.
I am very flexible with times, able to meet face-to-face or online.

All learning is about finding out where our gaps in learning and confidence are and then addressing these.
Once we have an idea of where our gaps are and what we're working towards, we will systematically approach each of these until they are mastered.
The initial content is taught in a 'low-stakes' fashion to minimise anxiety and focus on the maths, before practice and more practice ensures that it becomes second nature.
