About Maxine
Navigating the medical school application process as an underrepresented minority shaped the way I teach biology today. I hold a Doctor of Medicine from UC San Francisco School of Medicine.
My 2 years of experience involve working with high school students, college freshmen, and adult learners returning to the field. I enjoy connecting molecular biology and evolution to the broader context of human anatomy or microbiology. Helping IB Biology students master complex topics like protein synthesis is one of my favorite tasks.
I find that clear communication helps students grasp the intricacies of the circulatory system or plant biology. My goal is to ensure you feel supported and capable while we tackle your specific challenges.
