About Emily
Teens and performance-focused students often arrive smelling like old guitar cases and nervous energy before their first audition. Growing up in the gospel and blues tradition, I learned that the voice is an instrument meant for the soul as much as the stage. I earned a Bachelor of Music in Popular Music from the University of Southern California to ground my intuitive style in solid theory.
Having taught 366 students, I appreciate how individual each person's vocal journey can be. My work focuses on pitch control, harmony singing, and mastering both head and chest voice for various genres. It is quite rewarding to watch a shy student find their power in a song. I honestly just love the process of watching voices grow.

Clear sound and consistent pitch are the main results we aim for together. To be honest, even the best performers still get a bit jittery before they start a set.
My 9 years of experience has shown me that preparation is the only real cure for stage fright. I offer recorded warm-up routines shared for daily home practice so your progress stays steady throughout the week. Kids and returning learners often benefit from the simple, consistent structure I provide.
We will cover everything from sight singing to genre styling for pop or musical theatre. I provide the tools to make your voice stand out.
