About Christian

I am a big believer in confidence. Most of the students I have worked with understand various topics but lack confidence in themselves and that is where struggles come from. My goal is to work with you to gain confidence in the topics that give you the most trouble. I have worked with students of all ages for the past 5/6 years and am currently in the process of becoming a teacher. Unlocking students potential as young learners is a major passion of mine and I thank you for your consideration.

About the lesson

As a young learner I was not a huge fan of school and often struggled to get by. Since high school I have had a passion for helping students enjoy school a little more while strengthening their skills.

My method is to create engaging ways to understand various topics. Using interactive materials like online resources to help students. Also, hands-on application like white bards, base-10 blocks, maps, and other objects that can help students visualize concepts.

My lesson plans will be simple. We will begin every concept with just a conversation about the topic. We will discuss it so I can see what knowledge the student already has. We will then begin with me explain what the concept is about and why its important. After that we will go over what the answer should look like. I will go over the steps with how we got there and finally the student will practice the steps until the student feels more confident in the concept. My lessons will be mainly for math, writing and , social studies for grades k-8.
