About Renee

I’m a college instructor with 15 years of teaching experience, and I’ve taught a wide range of courses including basic and advanced computer skills, Microsoft Office applications and digital design. I’ve worked extensively with Adobe tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Animate, as well as industry-standard 2D animation software. Additionally, I have extensive experience using AI tools effectively for creative work and problem-solving.

I teach core design fundamentals and storytelling techniques that help you create work that is effective and impactful. You’ll learn composition and visual hierarchy to guide the viewer’s eye, along with practical methods for developing strong story ideas, planning scenes, and shaping believable characters. I can help you understand why certain choices work, not just how to make them, so you can build a solid creative foundation and apply these skills confidently in your own projects.

My teaching style is patient, organized, and focused on helping you learn with confidence, knowing you’re supported by someone who has guided many students through both foundational and advanced skills.

About the lesson

My lessons are built to help you feel comfortable from the very first session. I guide you through each skill using clear, easy-to-follow steps so you never feel rushed or overwhelmed. Each lesson is patient, steady, and focused on building a strong foundation. I break every skill into manageable steps so you can learn at a pace that feels right for you. You’ll always know what we’re working on and how it connects to your progress.

We’ll move from basic concepts to more advanced techniques in a way that feels natural. I use hands-on practice throughout our sessions so you can apply what you’re learning and see your growth in real time.

My goal is to help you feel supported, confident, and encouraged as you build your skills step by step.
