About Ellis

I am a physics specialist school teacher but I also have a degree in biology and psychology. I have been teaching for 3 years, over which time I have worked with pupils between the ages of 11-18 with varying abilities. During this time I have taught both combined (double) science and separate (triple) science. Because I am currently employed as a teacher, I am familiar with the recent changes to the GCSE specifications and exams. This means that i'm more than able to help you prepare for your exams.

About the lesson

Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. My name is Ellis, and I am a qualified secondary school science teacher with 4 years of direct teaching experience.

I like to create a relaxed learning environment where the students and I can discuss openly what they think. I much prefer setting problem solving tasks rather than lecturing or recalling facts, that is how pupils learn best by maximising the use of their neural pathways.

Each tutee is different so I am flexible and adaptable so that I can plan sessions that best suit the student.

I am offering online or face to face lessons with either individuals or groups.
