About Monica
"Piano was not my primary instrument at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, yet it became the heart of my musical life. It is strange that an instrument I studied as a secondary focus is now the tool I use to help so many others express themselves.
During my 9 years of experience, I have learned how to balance the rigor of classical training with the joy of making music for oneself. I work with absolute beginners and grade exam candidates who want to build a solid technical foundation. Whether you are a teen or a working professional, I value the perspective you bring to the bench.
My background in accompaniment allows me to bridge the gap between singing and playing for students who want to do both. I take pride in the progress of the 110 students I have guided through their musical growth. I am confident in my ability to help you find your voice through the keys."

"Imagine the sound of clear, articulated scales and arpeggios filling the room as we begin our time together. I adapt my methods to your specific goals by providing free access to my annotated practice notes after every lesson. With my BM background, I guide you through jazz improvisation and sight transposition while maintaining a focus on technical clarity. My 9 years of experience inform how I simplify complex accompaniment skills for students prepping for ABRSM or Trinity exams.
I believe that understanding the mechanics of the instrument should always lead to more expressive playing. It is a pleasure to watch you master these techniques over time. I look forward to hearing you play."
