I have recently completed my A levels, having achieved an A* grade in Chemistry, looking to teach chemistry for GCSE and A level students remotely, mainly for the AQA exam board.

About Clara
I am someone who immensely enjoyed studying chemistry at A level, and found it my most rewarding subject. I have always found myself to be very good at explaining and working through difficult content and problems, allowing me to not just have surface-level competence regarding the subject, but to know all topics inside and out, and I know that I will be able to communicate the same level of knowledge and understanding to the students I teach. I am also concerned with helping students to love chemistry, by making my lessons engaging and easy to comprehend. Having just completed my A level in chemistry, I am extremely knowledgeable about exam technique and how to answer exam-style questions, which is just as important as knowing the content to ultimately do the best possible in the final exams.

The lessons that I would be giving students would be 1 hour long sessions, targeted at students who are studying chemistry for GCSE and A level qualifications. After having obtained a 9 at GCSE level, and an A* at A level, I am very familiar with exactly what a student needs to do to succeed in their exams, with regards to the content and working with the mark scheme, and my lessons will aim to ensure thorough understanding of the complicated content. I also have experience with mentoring younger years during my time in sixth form, helping those who were struggling to improve in chemistry, so I know how to adapt to different needs of each student, and therefore tailor my tutoring style as necessary for the lessons.
