About Pearson
My philosophy of education begins with a teacher who is a warm demander, gains and maintains the cooperation of students and one that engages in reflective practice. He or she must be someone who holds high expectations for students when it comes to academics and exhibits an ethic of caring. The teacher should be an expert explainer of concepts, principles, and ideas, a great coach (a guide by the side) and treats students with dignity and respect. The teacher has to get to know his or her students well enough to be able to provide classroom instruction that meets them in their zones of proximal development; the developmental stage where the student is at the verge of mastering a learning task or concept if given appropriate help and support. I live in Saskatoon, Canada, and I am ready for online tutoring. My contact email is (concealed information)

I teach high school chemistry and university undergraduate chemistry. My tutoring methodology is designed to reinforce and clarify concepts for students through guided discovery, and not to teach students concepts from scratch. Subsequently, the sessions will be spent on explanations of chemical concepts and principles, and problem-solving strategies in chemistry and homework help. Basic concepts in chemistry are usually covered; uncertainty in measurements and units, classification of matter, the periodic table, elements, isotopes, ions, and compounds, writing chemical formulas and equations, balancing chemical equations, solutions, determination of amounts of substances, concentration of solutions, reaction stoichiometry, behavior of gases, electron configuration, chemical bonding, thermochemistry, chemical kinetics, equilibrium, acids and bases, electrochemistry, and introductory organic chemistry.
