About Edouard
I am a commercial pilot with a background in Science and Medicine. I possess a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Queensland, as well as a Bachelor of Aviation. I have tutored privately while studying at university, and have maintained a passion for Science until today. My professional experience lies mainly in aviation but I have much academic experience in biomedical science.

If a student is new, I like to have a good idea of their general knowledge by asking many questions in the first encounter. This is the lesson on which i base my subsequent teaching, to fill the important gaps in the student's knowledge. I like to begin a topic by giving a general history of the subject matter and instilling curiosity before moving on to current knowledge required from the student. I believe it is important for the student to have a context for their learning.
I think learning by reading is much more important and lasting than learning facts by rote, which is why I like to hunt for the best resources available on the topic, which will keep the student interested. I have found review articles to be a very good way of summarising current knowledge on a topic,as well as teaching students the critical process of scientific thought.
