About Hyejin

안녕 (Hi) everyone! My name is Hyejin from South Korea. If you’re looking to learn Korean from scratch but don’t know where to start, I’m the one you’re looking for!

I spent my childhood living in the US for 5 years. Then came back and earned Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education, with four years of experience teaching at kindergartens and primary schools in Korea. Since I’ve taught young kids in Korea, I’m also great at teaching foreign learners who are at a similar Korean level, or those who want to get there!

They say the fastest way to learn a language is by having friends from that country. So, I’ll be your Korean friend, not just a teacher, and focus on making the lessons fun and stress-free. Let's pick up Korean naturally while having a good time!

About the lesson

*Beginners (First-timers): Consonants and Vowels
*For Intermediate Learners and Above: Learning practical sentences used in various settings (cafes, restaurants, street markets, and schools).

I create custom textbooks based on the topics you want to study. I’m not a big fan of teaching grammar one-on-one. Instead, I explain grammar naturally as it comes up in conversation. I focus more on everyday Korean and speaking, rather than academic-level language.

This is just a rough outline I’ve put together, and of course, I can adjust it based on what works best for you! My focus will always be on learner-centered activities and creating a fun atmosphere.
