About Amirah
All students are capable of learning. Success is about finding methods and strategies that work best for you. Students who work with me feel confident in the subject matter going forward. I have had students move on to future classes and tell me that the material I taught is still helping them in future classes. I guarantee my students that I will be helpful, patient, and understanding. I will be present and punctual for all lessons and I will adjust my availability to fit your schedule.

When I tutor students I like first to get a clear understanding of what their goals are. If the student is unclear I will help them set clear realistic goals. I want to understand what the student currently knows about a topic and build a deeper understanding of the topic from there. I try to remind myself of what it was like for me when I was first learning the subject and use the tools that helped me understand the subject matter when I was a student. My lessons will be best suited for students from 2nd grade to undergraduate students.
