About Sonia
I have a passion for teaching and have been a teacher for over 18 years. I am patient, supportive and determined to make sure concepts are understood by each student. Students can enjoy learning and with practice are able to grasp new subjects/lessons. I’ve noticed many students gain confidence and in turn be proud of themselves once they achieved a goal. I have a lot of experience teaching children sounds, letters and how to transform it into sentence writing. I teach students how to use sounds and stretch out words independently in order to gain confidence in reading and writing. Children can have fun with language and learn words in many different and fun modalities!
I teach math in a way where concepts are broken down and students use hands on learning. They later are able to integrate what they learned afterward onto paper .
