About Erika

I have been teaching at the elementary level for 7 years. I have my bachelor's degree in Education and a Texas teaching certificate. I also completed Lexia's LETRS (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling) training volumes 1 and 2.

About the lesson

I am passionate about helping students learn how to read and write. It's a common misconception that learning to read is easy and 20% of people have dyslexia. It's okay and common to struggle with reading.

I take a patient, empathetic, diagnostic, and personalized approach to reading instruction. I use verified tools to pinpoint what areas of reading need to be targeted and then take a systematic approach using structured literacy and the science of reading. I would love to come alongside you in your reading journey to help you build confidence and a love of reading!
