About Tebogo
I teach English because I love the moment a learner’s sentence clicks into place and they hear it themselves, the pause, the grin, the “oh, that’s what I meant.” In high school I watched friends lose marks not from ignorance but from shaky phrasing, and I kept rewriting their paragraphs sentences for fun, turning that into actual lessons felt obvious.
With HL students I get to geek out on tone and subtext, and with FAL learners I get the clean win of everyday fluency, texts that finally sound natural, orals that stop freezing. It’s less about grammar worship and more about handing people a tool they use every day, clear voice, on purpose.

Whether I'm teaching English Home Language or FAL, I train the skills markers reward and the ones real life notices. For HL, we sharpen argument control, tone shifts, and textual nuance through timed essays and unseen-orals. For FAL, we lock down grammar, register and everyday speaking so answers are correct and fluent. Same approach either way, we'll be using your own writing, fix one high-impact habit per week, practice under exam timing, and track it on a one-page log.
A different angle you can use:
I don’t teach “English” in the abstract, I teach your last three mistakes until they disappear. We pull practice straight from your school texts for HL (poetry, transactional pieces, orals) and from daily SA contexts for FAL (emails, brief reports, role-plays), then rehearse them at exam speed. e.g every 25-minute slot ends with a one-line “target” you’ll apply before our next meeting.
