I focus on helping students truly understand the why behind concepts: whether that’s the chemical mechanism behind a reaction, the logic of a biological pathway, or the structure of a complex passage on a standardized test. Rather than memorization, I emphasize conceptual mastery and real-world application, ensuring students can connect classroom learning to tangible examples from research, medicine, and daily life.
I use Socratic questioning, step-by-step problem solving, and visual aids (such as molecular diagrams or flowcharts) to strengthen understanding. Every lesson is adapted to the student’s learning style—whether they learn best through structured notes, guided practice, or collaborative discussion.
Typical Lesson Plan
Warm-Up (5–10 min): Quick review of the previous session and short diagnostic questions to identify areas needing reinforcement.
Concept Breakdown (20–30 min): Interactive explanation of the day’s topic, using analogies, diagrams, and examples relevant to the student’s level (e.g., molecular biology for AP Bio vs. biochemistry for college pre-med).
Guided Practice (20–30 min): Step-by-step walkthrough of problems or exam-style questions with an emphasis on reasoning and critical thinking.
