About John
I am a rising Harvard sophomore pursuing Computer Science and Government. I worked very hard in high school, graduating at the top of my class of 127. I love learning and love pursuing both STEM and humanities interests through a range of classes. I have tutoring experience, having tutored extensively in high school. My favorite part of teaching/ tutoring is the satisfaction derived from seeing one of your students succeed. Outside of the classroom, one of my favorite hobbies is playing chess and keeping up with all the famous chess players around the world.

With a strong background in math, I can teach a wide range of math and statistical concepts, either geared toward specific tests like AP Calculus or the SAT or simply to help those with their math classes. I have taken AP Statistics, AP Calculus BC, as well 9 other APs and Multivariable Calculus. My tutoring would be most effective for middle schoolers and high school. Through my time as a tutor in high school, I have discovered effective means of teaching students. One method that I use is to teach a concept or how to do a certain problem, and then ask the student, after some practice, to try and teach it back to me. The way that they try and teach it is often quite informative and helps me understand the way that the student approaches math problems.
