About Ryan
I am currently five years out of graduating from Harvard Business School. I studied Liberal Arts at NYU in undergrad creating my own major at the School of Individualized Study.
I served in the U.S. Army after graduating, went to business school, and then spent time in management consulting and leading Finance at a Tech startup that worked in the now almost extinct micromobility space (e.g. street scooters).
Currently I am pursuing an entrepreneurial venture, searching for a small business to acquire from a retiring owner. As I have no income until an acquisition is complete I am looking to supplement with what I am best at: standardized tests.

I am new to tutoring so will offer my first classes at a significant discount. I have extensive standardized test prep experience, in the process of studying for the GMAT I mastered every publicly available GMAC question.
My approach will be tailored to the individual student and I can confidently help prepare for both verbal and quantitative reasoning.
I would ask the student to share with me their immediate area of focus and prepare a series of problems to work through in the lesson. I will ask the student to walk me through their logic on each. Whether the student answers incorrectly or not we will discuss strategies to move through the questions more efficiently.
Standardized test excellence is about more than knowing how to answer each question correctly. It requires answering efficiently and knowing tricks to arrive at the answer often times without fully solving the problem, but by eliminating the alternative answers rapidly.
