About Lauren
Lauren began playing the harp at the age of eight in Williamsburg, Virginia. She went on to study with Professor of Harp, Monica Hargrave, at UGA's Hugh Hodgson School of Music. Today she plays at weddings and other events, and is now offering lessons from her home.

The harp is truly a magical instrument, and its forgiving nature allows the novice to create a beautiful sound from day one. The harp is incredibly rewarding at every skill level, however, it can be challenging to master. Lauren is offering a unique opportunity to begin harp study at a young age, which is a great advantage.
Adult students are also welcomed - Lauren's goal is to spread her love of the instrument, and the joy that it has brought her own life.
Students will learn specific harp technique, and be able to grow immensely as overall musicians due to the harp's complexity. Lessons are tailored to fit the student, whether learning for your own enjoyment, or having aspirations to become a performing harp player. As lessons progress, an array of genres will be explored, such as classical, pop or jazz. Harpists can learn as both solo and ensemble musicians. Prior piano study is helpful, but not required.
