About Dr Fawaz

I hold a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Warwick and bring over 25 years of rare, dual-perspective experience across academic research, university lecturing, and enterprise industry leadership.

Having served as a Senior Lecturer as well as a Principal Architect and tech executive, I bridge that gap completely. I know precisely how examiners grade papers at GCSE, A-Level, and degree levels, while simultaneously knowing what global tech companies look for when hiring software engineers and cybersecurity specialists.

My background includes publishing over 45 peer-reviewed scientific papers, delivering more than 300 technical talks globally, and building complex real-time software systems. However, my teaching style is completely down-to-earth and zeroed in on your success. Instead of working through rigid, generic slideshows, I break down complex computer science concepts—from foundational Python scripts and data structures to distributed systems and security protocols—into
straightforward, intuitive steps.

About the lesson

I teach computer science by cutting out the fluff and getting straight to the point:

We learn by actually doing the work. Staring at slides or memorising textbook definitions won't make you a better developer or security analyst.
