About Harry
I’m a guitarist, songwriter and composer with many years of experience playing and making music. Guitar is my main instrument, but I'm also a singer and work across bass, keys, drums and music production, which has given me a well-rounded understanding of how music fits together.
I’ve spent a lot of time developing my own music and working on creative projects, including composing and collaborating with others, and I like to bring that real-world musical perspective into my teaching.
As a musician, I’ve always been drawn to creativity, feel, and expression, rather than rigid or purely technical approaches. I’m particularly interested in helping people connect with music in a way that feels natural and enjoyable, whether that’s through learning songs, improvising, or developing and thinking about their own ideas and approaches towards their goals.
In the end, the most important thing is to enjoy playing and connect with the music in your own way!

My aim is to get you playing as quickly as possible, without getting stuck in overly rigid or traditional approaches. Everyone learns differently, so I adapt lessons to suit you — whether you prefer structure or a more intuitive, creative approach.
Rather than focusing on grades, I prioritise real musical skills: playing songs, developing rhythm, understanding how music works, and building confidence on the instrument. I mainly teach beginners and intermediate players, and my teaching style is best suited to adults and older students.
I have 16+ years of experience playing guitar, and have taught a small number of students in the past. I bring a patient, supportive approach to lessons. My lessons are typically 1 hour, though I can also offer 30-minute or longer sessions if appropriate.
