About Aubrey

I am a dedicated guitar tutor with over 12 years of experience teaching students of all ages and abilities, including those with learning differences such as ADHD, dyslexia, and anxiety. Holding a Bachelor of Music in Popular Music (Guitar), I bring both technical skill and a deep understanding of how music can support personal growth. My background in music therapy and special education allows me to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive. I use adaptive, strengths-based teaching methods that meet each student’s unique needs, helping them learn in ways that feel natural and empowering. Whether it’s breaking down complex concepts, using visual aids, or incorporating movement and rhythm games, I make learning accessible and enjoyable. My lessons focus on building confidence, creativity, and a genuine love for music. I support students at every level—from first-time players to those refining advanced techniques. Progress is measured not just in skill, but in joy, self-expression, and the courage to keep going. About the lesson

My guitar teaching approach is student-centered, flexible, and built on passion. I teach students of all levels and tailor each lesson to match their pace, interests, and musical goals. Whether you're just starting or picking up the guitar later in life, I create a comfortable and supportive space for learning.

I focus on strong foundational skills, including finger placement, strumming, rhythm, and ear training. I teach how to read guitar tablature, which helps students play their favorite songs early in the journey. For visual learners, I use diagrams, fretboard charts, and video demonstrations to make concepts clear and easy to follow.

To keep learning fun and motivating, I use gamified techniques—like song challenges, levels, and rewards—so students feel excited and proud of their progress. I celebrate small wins because they lead to big improvements over time. My method also includes classical and contemporary techniques, helping students master both traditional and modern styles.
