Hi! I’m a guitar tutor with 11 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor’s in Contemporary Music, majoring in Guitar. I have a deep passion for creative composition and arrangement, and I love helping students discover their own musical voice. My teaching philosophy is supportive and motivating, focusing on building both skill and confidence in every learner.
I specialize in scales, rhythmic training, songwriting, and performance skills, guiding students to play with precision and expression. My teaching approach is designed to make learning guitar enjoyable and effective for students of all levels. I focus on building strong fundamentals, starting with ergonomic technique to ensure comfort and prevent strain while playing. Open chords, power chords, and finger dexterity exercises form the core of early lessons. I also incorporate ear training to help students recognize notes, chords, and progressions by sound.
Theory is an important part of my classes, including Roman Numeral Chord Nomenclature, which helps students understand how music works and create their own arrangements. I guide learners in fingerstyle techniques, enabling them to play melodies and harmonies smoothly. For students interested in worship or acoustic performance, I provide specialized strategies to excel in those areas.
Each lesson is tailored to individual goals, whether learning popular songs, mastering technique, or composing original music. I emphasize practice routines that are manageable, consistent, and productive. Students receive continuous feedback and encouragement to build confidence.
