About Leah
With nine years of experience teaching guitar, I’ve had the pleasure of working with students of all ages, helping them develop a personal relationship with the instrument. My lessons are a balance of technique and artistry, encouraging students to play with both precision and emotion. I believe that learning guitar should be fun and empowering. My teaching method is rooted in patience and understanding, helping students feel confident in their abilities while also challenging them to reach their full potential. I aim to build a connection between my students and the music they create, helping them express themselves authentically. Outside of teaching, I compose, perform, and collaborate with other musicians, staying connected to the ever-evolving world of music. These experiences continuously inform my lessons, ensuring they remain fresh and filled with practical, real-world insights.

My guitar lessons are designed to guide students through a journey of technical growth and creative exploration. Each session combines warm-up exercises, technique drills, and musical theory to ensure steady progress, while also leaving room for personal creativity and expression. Whether you’re learning to play your favorite songs or looking to develop more advanced skills, lessons are customized to your goals.
Beginners start with chord progressions, strumming patterns, and basic melodies to build a solid foundation. Intermediate students expand into fingerpicking, improvisation, and music theory, while advanced learners focus on tone, phrasing, and performance techniques. I often incorporate ear training and song analysis to help students understand the broader musical context of what they play.
My goal is to not only help students play the guitar but also to help them express themselves through it. I encourage personal interpretation, improvisation, and creativity so that students leave each session feeling connected to their music.
