About Nicholas
"Teaching guitar felt like a natural progression 13 years ago after finishing my BMus Music Performance degree at the University of Canterbury. I have helped countless students find their musical voice through 13 years of dedicated instruction. My focus remains on strong technique, whether we are working on fingerpicking, barre chords, or acoustic technique.
I help pupils navigate music theory, reading tabs, or preparing for grade exams with a methodical approach. Learning maintenance and proper tuning ensures your instrument stays ready for your practice. I truly enjoy seeing you play the music you love."

"Pacing begins with a clear assessment of your current ability to ensure we move at a steady speed. A student successfully hitting a complex jazz chord for the first time is the goal of our time together.
I share insights from my university training to clarify improvisation and soloing concepts during our 10 minute feedback windows. This is about building a foundation that supports your growth.
