About Scarlett
I have taught 123 students across 13 years while honing a method that prioritizes the sound of the instrument above all else. My approach is direct and rooted in the traditional music of the American South where I learned to play by ear. I work with working professionals, returning learners, and teens who want to master rhythm guitar or soloing. I enjoy helping people connect with their acoustic technique.

The smell of old wood and fresh strings fills the air as we pick up our guitars. I design a practice module with every lesson to keep your momentum high throughout the week. Because I understand the needs of adults and performance-focused students, I avoid rigid templates that ignore your individual progress.
You might start by focusing on strumming patterns or power chords while I listen for subtle adjustments in your posture. We integrate music theory only after your hands have successfully navigated the basic fingerpicking shapes. This method ensures you understand the why behind every note.
