About Phoebe
I am a guitar tutor with 11 years of experience and a PhD in Contemporary Guitar Performance. My teaching journey has allowed me to guide beginners and experienced learners while helping them build confidence through structured learning.
I believe every student learns best with patience, encouragement, and clear explanations. My lessons combine technical development with creative exploration so students understand music while enjoying every stage of improvement.
Outside teaching, I enjoy composing instrumental music, recording guitar arrangements, and exploring world music traditions. These experiences enrich my lessons and inspire students to develop their own unique musical voice.

My guitar lessons are designed to help students enjoy learning while building strong technical skills. We begin with posture, chord transitions, rhythm exercises, strumming patterns, finger coordination, and timing practice through enjoyable activities. Every lesson creates a comfortable learning environment where students gain confidence one step at a time.
As learners advance, we focus on fingerstyle playing, alternate picking, scales, improvisation, solo phrasing, tone shaping, music theory, and live performance preparation. Practical exercises, creative challenges, and regular feedback help students improve accuracy while developing their own musical style. Lessons are personalized to individual learning goals.
My goal is to help students become expressive guitar players with strong technical foundations and lasting confidence. Every lesson develops creativity, discipline, and musical enjoyment through supportive guidance.
