About Charmel
Music is meant to be felt in the hands rather than just read on a page. When we sit down, I imagine we are prepping for a live show in a small basement bar. My degree in the school of hard knocks and 7 years of teaching help grade exam candidates succeed.
We look at the mechanics of the instrument to ensure your playing stays fluid. I enjoy seeing students develop a unique voice through their own songwriting. Come grab your guitar and let us get to work.

I focus on fingerpicking, songwriting, and rhythm guitar foundations. Sometimes I still get nervous before a set even after 13 years on stage. Having taught 293 students, I know how to make sense of reading tabs.
My background as a self-taught musician means I explain maintenance and tuning in plain terms. It is quite a thrill to see someone finally nail a tricky chord progression after weeks of practice.
